This is not raw Cassava! This is Cassava Flour. A grain-free and nut free alternative to wheat flour. Cassava Flour is a whole food known as Fufu (foofoo or foufou) when mixed with hot water.
People prepare and eat cassava in various ways in different parts of the world, with baking and boiling being the most common methods. In some places, people ferment cassava (examples Kwanga & Attieke in this website) before using it.
While comprised predominantly of carbohydrates, cassava flour is also a great source of Vitamin C and manganese.
